SSH Client setup

puTTY

puTTY is a freeware Telnet/SSH Client, see our Links page for a link to their download site. When you first launch puTTY you are presented with the Configuration Screen.

Session

  • Host Name (or IP Address): sound.scc.net or superweb.scc.net or superweb2.scc.net
  • Port: Assigned based on which Protocol you select
  • Protocol Telnet or SSH (SSH is recommended)
  • Saved Sessions: Here you can give your connection a nickname and click Save

    Logging

  • Here you can save your sessions in a text file
