Resolutions

1. Credit

On the Campaign Committee’s behalf, the Treasurer will move the following resolution:

Resolved, That:

1. Contributions requested.

(a) Joint independent-board literature. The Party asks that each candidate make a contribution toward the joint independent-board literature by 7 September, or ten days after the Party mails a report notifying the candidate about the costs incurred, whichever is later.

(b) Primary-election sample ballot. The Party asks that each candidate make a contribution toward the primary-election sample ballot by 7 September, or ten days after the Party mails a report notifying the candidate about the costs incurred, whichever is later.

(c) General-election sample ballot. The Party asks that each candidate make a contribution toward the general-election sample ballot by 30 September, or ten days after the Party mails a report notifying the candidate about the costs incurred, whichever is later.

2. Credit. Any candidate who has not made a fair-share contribution toward the joint independent-board literature and toward the primary-election sample ballot by the date requested will not appear on the general-election sample ballot unless he or she makes such a contribution for the joint independent-board literature and for the primary-election sample ballot and for the general-election sample ballot by 20 September.

 

2. Endorsements

The following resolutions will be in order with respect to any office for which the Party has not endorsed a candidate in the general election:

Resolved, That the Central Committee now proceed to an endorsement for __________. The rules that applied to the endorsement for __________ at the last City Convention shall likewise apply to this proceeding.

Resolved, That a convention is hereby called for the endorsement of a candidate for __________. The convention shall meet at a time and place set by the [Chair/ward coordinators] as an adjourned meeting of the last [City/ward] convention.
