This notice constitutes the official call for a convention in Ward 3 for the endorsement of a candidate for the City Council in the primary election being held on 30 December 2002 and the special election being held on 3 February 2003. The special election results from the resignation of the incumbent elected at the last general election, Joe Biernat.

The Ward 3 Convention will meet on Monday 9 December 2002 at 6:30 p.m. (registration opens at 6:30 p.m.) in the Multipurpose Room, Bottineau Neighborhood Center, 2000 NE Second Street, Minneapolis.

You are receiving this notice because you were elected as a delegate or an alternate to your senate-district convention in March 2002 at your precinct caucus, and you were therefore also a delegate or alternate to the City Convention in June 2002. If you have moved out of the precinct that elected you in March 2002 to another precinct in the same ward, then you can still participate in your new precinct as the last alternate.
