NCMA - "For Sale" List

The North Central Morgan Association provides its "For Sale" card file as a way to make connections between members who have horses for sale and people who want to buy a Morgan Horse.

There is no charge to buyers for this service; the fee of $2 per horse is paid by the seller when they list their horse. The horses are listed until they are sold, or for 1 year. The listings are also available online via the NickerNet online service.

You can obtain a copy of the "For Sale" list by sending a stamped, self-addressed business-size envelope to:

To add your horse to the "For Sale" list:

Send the following information about each horse, along with a check or money order for $2/horse (made payable to "Susan Grout/NCMA For Sale List") to the address given above.

Information about each horse:

1. Registered Name of the horse.
2. Sire & Dam's registered names and Registration number.
3. Age of the horse and the date foaled.
4. Asking price for the horse
5. Sellers name, address, and phone number.
6. A 25-word description of the horse, including items such as:
   • height
   • color
   • discipline suited for
   • level of training so far
   • show record, if any
   • recommended skill level of rider

Note that it takes about 2 weeks for new information to be added to the list; if you want to be included in the "For Sale" list that is handed out at events such as the Minnesota Horse Expo, various Morgan Horse Shows, the Minnesota State Fair, and the Morgan Grand National Horse Show then you must send your information in at least 2-3 weeks before the event!
