The 1997 North Star Show is over.
Our 41st year was noted for wonderful weather - never over 75 degrees, and getting down to 50 at night -- much better than the stifling heat of some past years. The show ran smoothly, and people seemed very happy with the new schedule. The barn parties and the exhibitors picnic were well attended, with much enthusistic participation in the picnic games.
Also noteworthy was our Show Chair, Terry Washburn, who was hauled off to the hospital the morning after our exhibitors party, and produced a 6 pound 13 ounce chestnut-haired filly registered as "Anna Anita Washburn" at about the same time as the last class of the show was entering the ring.
Attendance was down just a bit from last year, with about 175 horses showing. Complete 1997 Show Results are available here.
On July 3-6, 1997, the North Central Morgan Association presents the 41st North Star Morgan Horse Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, Minnesota.
We're pleased to continue the tradition of the oldest Morgan Horse show in the upper Midwest area, and we welcome you to our show.
This year, for the first time, we've placed information about the show on the Internet. While it's still under construction and we haven't had the time to make it pretty yet, we do think that we have all the information about the show here.
